Vision

Open Parachute, PBC — Spring 2026

The Problem

Most people have thoughts scattered across a dozen places. Voice memos here, typed notes there, AI conversations that start fresh every time. The tools that could help you think better don't actually know you—and the ones that could know you don't feel safe to trust with your real thinking.

The result: your best thinking disappears. Your AI can't build on what you've already worked through. And every morning, you start from scratch.

Parachute is built around a different premise: instead of you learning the system, the system learns you.

Two Products

We're building two entry points into one coherent system—connected by an intelligent graph database that gives everything shared memory.

Parachute Daily

Hosted · Subscription

A journaling app with gentle AI integration. Designed for the 90% of people who want to think more clearly and stay connected to their own ideas—without self-hosting a server or diving into agentic AI.

You journal however you naturally think: voice, typing, wherever you are. Each day, an AI reflects your writing back to you—surfacing what mattered, asking questions to deepen the thinking, noticing patterns over time. It builds a simple profile of you from your own words: the projects you're working on, the people in your life, the things you keep returning to.

  • Daily reflections — AI reads your entries and reflects back what's most salient
  • Weekly synthesis — a digest of themes, progress, and patterns from the week
  • Gentle profile building — the graph quietly captures what the app has learned about you
  • Voice-first capture — local on-device transcription, works offline
  • Your data — stored locally in an embedded graph database you own, portable and exportable

For anyone who wants to think better. No setup required.

Parachute Computer

Open Source · Self-Hosted

A full personal AI platform. If Parachute Daily is a journaling companion, Parachute Computer is the whole extended mind—Claude Code for your entire life, not just your codebase.

It runs on your machine, connects to your existing tools, and orchestrates AI agents with real capabilities: searching your knowledge, running code, managing files, operating across Telegram, Discord, and Matrix. An intelligent graph database sits at the core, connecting everything into one coherent memory. Three trust tiers keep you in control of what AI can touch.

  • Brain — explore and query your personal knowledge graph—journals, conversations, entities, and connections all in one place
  • Chat — AI conversations with full context and deep tool access
  • Workspaces — named capability scopes for different kinds of sessions
  • Bot connectors — Telegram, Discord, Matrix with per-platform trust levels
  • Multi-agent teams — agents that spawn and coordinate sub-agents within your system
  • Three trust tiers — full access, restricted, or sandboxed in Docker

For developers, researchers, and power users. Open source, free to self-host.

The Connection

Daily and Computer aren't parallel tracks—they're the same path at different stages.

When you're ready to go deeper, everything you've built in Daily comes with you. Your journal entries flow into the knowledge graph, which extracts entities, builds connections, and immediately bootstraps a system that already knows you. The first conversation you have with Parachute Computer will reference projects you've been working on, people in your life, questions you've been exploring—because they're already in your graph.

The upgrade path

Start journaling in Daily → Build months of context → Switch to Computer → Brain ingests your history → System already knows you

The architecture makes this seamless. Daily writes directly to the same graph database that Computer reads. There's no migration wizard, no import step—your data is already there.

Business Model

Open source is our growth engine, not a constraint. Parachute Computer is free and always will be for people who self-host. Revenue comes from making it easier for people who don't want to run infrastructure.

Early 2026 is about real users and real usage. Revenue experimentation follows once usage patterns show which path has the most pull. Target: a path to $1,000 MRR identified by April 22.
